This DIY-er found a boat he liked in the PopSci archives. Then he built it.

Tom Riti wanted a new pedal boat. The retired TV-production teacher and his wife, Lori, had just moved from Florida to Virginia, and were looking for a craft to explore the surrounding bay and back channels with.

So, like most folks in his position, Riti started shopping around online. But rather than heading right to the Cabela’s website, Riti, who calls himself a “DIY-er with an itch,” landed in the Popular Science Google Book archives. Demi Lovato and Heather Morris Ask Fans to Pray as Naya Rivera Is Reported Missing After Boat Ride

Naya Rivera’s friends and loved ones are asking fans to pray amid news that she was reported missing following a boat ride with her son, Josey, on Wednesday, July 8. Demi Lovato, who appeared alongside Naya on Glee, shared a photo of a lit candle to Instagram Stories and wrote, “Please pray for @NayaRivera to be found safe and sound.”

Glee actress Heather Morris also posted to Instagram Stories, writing, “We need all the prayers we can get to bring our Naya back home to us. We need your love and light,” while star Harry Shum Jr. tweeted, “Praying.”
